Hello everyone,
Over the past few months I've been having some frustrating issues regarding using the Zoom H4N as an audio interface with Pro Tools 11. Nowhere does it say online whether the two are officially compatible, although I've heard of people doing it. When I connect the Zoom H4N to my computer and select the interface option, Pro Tools 11 does recognize the software in the Hardware window and it is selected as being on, but I can't seem to connect it from there. Sometimes the H4N device is located in the Bus window and is assigned its own bus, but most of the time when I connect to Pro Tools I get nothing but the Hardware window confirmation. When I attempt to connect a track to the H4N to record as an insert, I get the message that the "insert is not available because the output is already in use". I've checked around and I can't figure out what exactly I'm supposed to do. Anyways, I guess I'm just looking for direction as I can't find any more information online. If anybody knows the step by step process or even some pointers I would be forever grateful. Thanks guys
