I bought a Zoom MRS-1266CD from eBay recently.
Everything appears to work great, but I'm having problems trying to burn a CD. I'm using CD-R CD's. When I try to burn a CD, I get an "error" on the display most of the time, and when I don't and I get as far as to "finalize" the CD, It won't play (?). I can physically see where the CD has been "burned", but still ... my CD player says "no disc". Any ideas? There's nothing in the manual to help me troubleshoot and I've tried emailing for customer support, but they don't appear to exist.

Please Help!

Hmmm .... They've always worked fine for burning CD's from my computer (?). How can I tell if they're "music only" CDRs?

Thanks for the response ~

You need 'Music' CD-Rs for a lot of commercial gear that record directly to CD. Normal CD-Rs will probably not work in the Zoom.

I don't really know where you can get a 'Music' CD-R. But then, I only use my PC to burn CDs...

You can get music CDR's from a big computer store like Cpmp USA.Also, clean the laser lens with one of those cleaner discs (cheap). If that doesn't work, you'll probably have to replace the CDR drive (about $40).-Richie

Went out and bought "music only" CD's and they still don't work.
I'm probably going to end up replacing the whole CD burner.
Does anyone know which one I should get? If at all possible, I don't want to replace it with another Zoom. My experiences have been that their products are all "hit or miss" and product support is non-existant, so they won't see another penny from me.

Thanks for your help.
