question about this song: Did Satriani make the original of this, or was his a remake. I've never seen Joe Satriani do a cover song, but I've been told by unreliable sources that this song comes from someone else. I haven't done the research, so I'll just ask here.
So many people that want a dreamy effect go for the tremolo or flange on everything that at first this sounds like there's the same effect on the lead (is that a slide?). I think this would be really good actually without the tremolo/leslie effect on the organ. It throws off the whole thing slightly. It's actually very pretty. Like the original.
Oh, and to everyone. I'm not going to defend those two songs I put put up as "art" because at the time I had no plan and was just mixing to make the guitars less loud and in the other track demud overall and use that cool leslied vocal in ways different than the original writer intended. The "You don't know me" song is actually done by The Great Big Mulp/K(10)z who has quite a following.
But yeah, the reverb is heavy and the organ sound isn't quite the right sound for some reason. But I dig the performance.
And what's with my edited post getting turned into a double post?

Thanks for listening to it, but there's no organ in there. Lol. That was all direct guitars with bad reverb plug-ins. I don't have any brushes, so I severely detuned a snare and tapped on it for the flat drum sound. I had no idea what i was doing. Still don't.
Lol. Dude Satriani probably wasn't even born when this song was originally made.
Santo & Johnny 1959.
