You Suck

I like it. Love the rambunctious feel of the whole thing. I can't make out any of the words though, and I assume they're important to the theme of the song. Less effect and a drier vocal track would help.
 
Real fun song. I loved it. Reminded me of the Clash except more lighthearted. Agree the lead vocal would sound better if it were dryer.
 
This was great. I made out the vocals fine, but I was listening on cans and reading them, so that certainly helped. I'll defer to the other guys on the need to dry 'em up a bit. Really had a good raw sound to it that I find lacking in some tracks presented as punk. Not raw like a shitty sound, just raw in terms of energy. Lots of fun. Thanks.

Ya, reading through these comments you may have something on the vocals..

I don't mind the words being somewhat unintelligible.. in fact I worked pretty hard to make them so (so to speak).. but the ambiance bugs me..

I'm completely deaf in the right ear so everything is either hard panned against it's self, or centered.. and I didn't think I had any ambiance or verbs on the vocals..

Unfortunately I mix on mono headphones.. maybe time O spring for those monitors. because I just don't hear the ambiance .. it sounds pretty darn dry to my one ear..

I hate that part.. I love laying down the music, but because of the one ear mixing is a bloody nightmare shot in the dark..

As for 'raw' well.. everything is just that..

You know, I laid out the drums.. then everything else except vocals is one take and I didn't do retakes.. the good bad and the ugly are in there.. I figured it was the only way to keep it 'real and raw'.. *L* .. because you can't really engineer 'energy'..

Yeah, sounds nice and raw. Mix has a nice punch to it too. Pretty good tune.
 
Yeah! I like it! loud and messy and cool guitars. Vocals sound cool. Maybe dryer, but not dry. I made out most of the words alright.
 
I could hear the words OK and made most of them out OK, although I thought "leave so soon" was "miso soup"... no wonder it didn't make sense!

Do you have a delay on that vocal, panned left? Sounds more like that to me than a 'verb...

There is a bit of a tap delay on the vocals.. BUT.. I am totally deaf in my right ear.. people keep saying it is too much.. I honestly can't hear any..

Which is why I post to this forum, now I know to go in and have a look at that vocal chain..

Real raw but it sounds great! Like a polished live concert! This does not suck!
