hi there all i am a brand new member and i thought it would be best to ask the experts about my wanabe recording studio. i have been trying to set something up since i was 14 and now at 17 i have a job and money and so on and i want to continue but i need direction. i am a guitarist, who wants to set up a reasonable recording studio for my self and the local tallent.
My current guitar set up is: Peavey valve king 100w head with behringer bg412h cab. playing a tokai PRS replica and epiphone Dot.
My recroding set is:
Alesis 3630 compressor
Behringer ultragraph pro
Behringer patchbay
Samson MDR1064 desk
Akai pro MPD24
Kam KXR150
Microsoft Xp sp3 with 2.8ghz processor and 2gb ram + 160gb hd
Running Sonar 7 producers edition.
i need help with my rack, i believe it aint enough but i need to know what else will give me an advantage while recording.
On the cards is an apple mac g5 with protools le which is going to be bought by my mum. (i dont have that much money) it also comes with a fire wire interface.
but i need help on choosing a digital firewire or midi Mixing desk and a nice preamp +mics.
hope fully someone will read this and help ,, thanx
