I really wish I had the problem of wondering how in the hell I'm gonna build my studio!!! I have issues!! I am one of few people who actually know what they are doing in a studio, BUT, I am in the process of building another one!! You see I have a huge room and a HUGE walk in closet and I am slitting both area's into a control room and a sound proof room, and you guys say you have problems? lol But seriously all of you that have placed pictures in this forum have really nice setups as far as the room
( I would maybe pick diff. equip. but Still nice) and I have fairly good equipment but the area Sukz!! It will be basiclly me recording because I will be using pricey tabletop synth, guitars, and vocals, so I guess It won't be too hard to do. But you guys listen to yourselves, we are doing what we love!!! So lets stop for a moment of silence....................................................................................................................................................................................................... Ok, now lets hitem' hard!! I'm just really jealous, sorry but nice work everyone!!

Anyone have a clue what mr. recording engineer is trying to say? 17 posts and already knows the recording habits of the entire bbs.....hmmm.. and pricy toys..wtf?......  moment of silence indeed.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

Wow Jon, looks like you showed up just in time to clue us all in.

BTW, pricey tabletop synths rock!!!

I'm on a budget so I just have an undercounter model............

I had a table top synth once but I kept smacking it with the ping pong paddle.

I had a Pricey, but traded up to a Casio - the cats didn't like the sound of the Pricey when they walked on the keys, plus the keys are closer together on the Casio so less cat hair gets in the keys; hey, anybody got the sheet music for "kitten on the keys"? My boys are ready to go "retro", and they're tired of "cat scratch fever"...

I'm savin' up for a Spendy and eventually an Outrageous, but I gotta work on my acoustics before it'll matter - found a good deal on a few thousand egg cartons and a bass trap couch, lookin' for some heavy cardboard so I can soundproof my silverware drawer to use as a vocal booth. I figure if I wrap a moving blanket around my head and shoulders and just yell into the drawer, it oughta work pretty good -

BTW, did I mention that I know everything and you suck? Anyways, keep up the good work... phphphphphphphphtttzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..........

Bla bla!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since when does going to this sight make you a recording engineer? And since when does hanging out on the computer all day make you the authority on recording........ ???????You people think your kool by catching people with the smallest things they say and going half way wanna be witty with it!!! And to be perfectly honest... I think that every single track I have heard on this entire site, namely the comp album blows chunks with the give in of maybe 2 tracks.... You might have the best studio of all but I would have to say that all of you guys have ( 0 ) talent and Need to get some before you build your studios any bigger and for you MR. Fatz needle dik you should keep your mouth shut because your really stinkin' up the place...... Your trying to come down on people like you are the authority in sound engineering and if you are then why don't you do it and make money rather than bomb people you don't even know....... This whole forum is weak!!!!!!!

You posted non-sense, you received non-sense in return. And yes, they are hard on newbies sometimes. But it's usually in good fun. It only gets ugly when the newbs retaliate and get pissed. That's what I meant.

Welcome to the club! Unfortunately there are many here with the mistaken idea that your "newbie" status with this website also represents your experience with homerecording and feel the need to put you in your place within the pecking order. Just shrug'em off. No matter what your experience you will be able to learn things here. It really is a fine site with a gold mine of information.

It wasn't the newbie status.

It was the "I'm one of few people that actually know what they are doing in a studio" comment.

This guy sounds like FT's kid.................

Casio? Eeek.

I very much like my etch-a-sketch running Cakewalk 2.1 with my rack of midi kazoos.

*I* have you all beat :D

Thank you God somebody with some since, If you guys noticed I Live in Ky not born here, (thank God,......again!!) Just stuck here!! Most people around here are really uned g cated and Have no common knowledge of music ,studio, or simple math!! I have recorded with word records and smack yo mamma records in bowling green ,ky the same place that the nappy roots started and I 'm just wanting to do my own thing ( normally I have a band) But I do have a fair sorce of knowledge in mixing and recording..... not to say that other people don't but I think I have more talent than equipment wich isn't saying much!! But others do like my music and I would like to meet some REAL artists who go through the same hell that I do with the buisness!!

Wow. You've been here 26 days and have the place clocked!

BTW, it's "sense", not since; "source, not sorce; and "which", not wich, Einstein.

Or is that how "artists" spell these days???
