Here's something, that I never really finished, that I fucked around with when I first got some audio software for the computer (about 7-8 years ago?). There is some obvious issues with it that I never got around to fixing, and there is many things I wanted to add as well (like a lead)...

Anyways, here's me 'playing' around with a style that I don't normally play... I'll do some live tracking when I get the gear, or get to borrow some... lol

WARNING: If you are listening with high end subs, you may want to turn them down initially!

Hey Waldo,
....theres some cool loopage going on here. ...a cool idea in the works. Im looking forward to hearing your live stuff....

....hopefully i wont have to wait 2 years to hear it:D :)

Well, at the current rate, it might be MORE than two years, lol

I'm hoping that the current project I'm working on (the one I'm doing for money, that has nothing to do with music sadly...) will provide me enough income in the future that I can spend a little on myself...

I wish I could go back in to the past and hide in the storage room when those guys decided to rip all my shit off... Then I would still have my old tapes, and the gear to make more!

Oh well, live, and learn.

sounds good.. Are you playing that funk bass? I recognize the upright bass type sound and some of the drums from Acid, but the other bass line sounds real.. cool tune..

Aw that wasn't very nice of me, was it? :) *pats himself on the head*

And Waldo already has such a difficult day today...sorry man!

Sounds a lot like a sample cd and Fruityloops. Groovy, however. Hey, I recognize the basspart from Dee-lite's Groove Is In The Heart...how's that possible?

Pretty cool. I liked the car windshield bursting sub bass thing going on. The double bass was a nice touch. The big hiss in there somewhere was a bit of a party pooper.

p.s. I ripped off ideas for the bass from all over, since the genre isn't normally something I muck with. Could very well be what you think it is, but it wasn't conscious!

Can anyone make out what the vocadrone part was saying? ;)

W.

The host with the most!

I keep imagining this as the soundtrack to a car commercial!

Can anyone make out what the vocadrone part was saying?

Are you ready?

nice groove, the bass on the front section is smooth and not obtrusive. Cool idea on the 1/2 steps. There could be a lot of interesting little stuff things to happen. It sounds like "r u reddy" to me too on that one part. You have got good hands to go with the ears. Thanks for sharing man.

"Hiss? From the vocadrone, or the synth you think?"

There's hints of it here and there in the song. At 2:28 it seems to become a subtle presence, at 3:00 it's pretty noticable. I think it's the double bass.

Ah yes, that's the reed layer and the backend of a stretched vocadrone with a very heavy verb. Closer to 60Hz hum at the end than a hiss though I would say.

The effect was supposed to be 'oh my god, my ears are ringing from that bass'

I just dug this up and...Hey, it's cool!

I really liked the thump in that bass. You should get together with Mr. Q. You guys seem to have some of the same kind of style.

Another one to add to my collection!

Waldo, very good man. you and the Q man could funk out. glad to hear sumpin from you.
