It's definately the same guy. They both type the same and they both link to Bmanning at Soundclick.

He seemed pretty depressed after he got some critique on his 'mastering' thread.

He is a great bank of information. Not only does he answer a lot of questions, he also voluteers a great wealth of info without anyone asking...

You dont find many people willing to post knowledge at random, and a lot of times its hard to just get simple answers answered.

I want to thank him for his no holds barred approach to dropping knowledge on this site, Thanks!

I never meant to chase the guy off. I suppose I mouthed off without thinking about a post of mine in this forum being burried without reply because of all his "HOW TO" posts.

The guy couldn't mix a cocktail but the book he copied his posts from was kinda informative, even if it was badly transcribed.

this is the thing - he meant well. there are never enough people around who really do want to help, even if it is by publishing copyright literature onto a forum like this. come back bmanning1 and let's all learn together!

just my 2 cents.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion...that's what these forums are all about but I would like to add my 2 cents to this thread.I've listened to some of mannings stuff and while it isn't all to my personal taste in music, he definately got what he was going for in his mixes...and the guy does have talent. Also, when I was a complete newbie and asking questions he (along with a few others)gave good advice and links to check out regarding equipment and such rather than just saying..."you outta get such-and-such"like many people do. Also the guy took the time to re-mix one of my tunes just to show me some light at the end of the tunnel when I was having serious proplems with extra noise and showed me how to eliminate noise using free programs and techniques he passed on...out of generosity and kindness...which I have since passed on to others. Say what you want but the guy sure helped me out a lot. Hope he is doing well.

He is gone Q, but yeah, it's the same guys. So what happened! Tell us!!! Enquiring minds want to know! You bonked him? He bonked you? He made a pass at your wife? Can he play brass (you know you need a brass section)?
