ok looking at monitors again with a very limited budget whats you guys thoughts on the Alesis M1 Active 520/620

After owning a set of these for about 6 months my suggestion would be to find something else.
Imo they are not true sounding at ALL and they aren't a speaker that you can really learn with because everything just sounds like M1's and not the way it really sounds.
In the past I have had NS10's, Events, KRK's and KEF and I had no problem learning the sound of those but these things are just junk to me. They sound pretty good for listening to CD's though ;-)

A local studio owner has a set of the M1 MK2 Actives, but he also has a set of KRKs, a set of Yamaha NS10s and a set of Yamaha NS240s...He says he uses them all, but the M1s are his go-to monitors...I haven't had the time to sit and compare...
I'll be searching monitors myself until I can afford to make a purchase, right now I'd really like to hear a pair of the low end Adams...
