It sounds nice, we just need to tweak it a little bit.

1) We have to quantize the drums on the intro.

2) We need to set the levels of the tracks in the mix.

3) We need to move the vocals earlier into the song.

4) You might also want to take off the "hard Pan" off of your vocals and the male vocals.

you obviously take yourself too seriously. i understand the joke was a bit dim, but if you can't take ethnic jokes, then you shouldn't tell jokes at all (not talking about the kind of "practical joke" i just made there...).. if you tell a regular joke with a white man, what would stop him from flying off the wall too?
I know very well that racism exists in the us.. and alot of it indeed, the most vicious and large part of it is indirecte/passive and is causing the huge ghettos..
the girl i'm dating is originally from Lebanon, i am not a racist.. problem is i don't care a flying fuck so much that people get offended... "You called him a NEGRO!!! you don't say that!!"
people are so goddamn defensive and constantly trying not to say anything offensive that it's bulking up and creating distance between the races.

my joke wasn't in anyway meant as a racist joke.. cause i don't give a flying fuck about races. It could might at well have said "i hate all you donkey fucking hillbillies" or "i hate all you stupid anal republicans".. the point was only to say something offensive and make it look like it wasn't me who had written it... hence the second post right after...
it would have usually taken what, ½ an hour for you to find out and give proper reprimande, how was i to know you were in france or whatever..

people who take offense are just as big a problem as the ones who makes the offense..

Musicians and Thought Patterns

I've been silently watching these posts concerning race and have finally decided to open my big mouth.

I am bi-racial. White and Black. I have lived in both predominantly white and predominantly black neighborhoods. I float between and within both and all races and cultures. My Father is a musician, my families close friends are musicians, actors and artists, of all shapes, shades and colors. I grew up in a household that was not black and white, but full of flavor. I was taught that musicians don't think in color, yet flavors and sounds. Can we keep the discussions in HOMERECORDING.COM to flavors and sounds, not colors and creeds.

I am totally understanding of the frustration that being politically correct, especially to those of who are more progressive in thought and actions than most. Which most musicians and creatives are.

I like a good joke as much as the other guy or girl and you are correct, we all make them, and ANYBODY could take the opportunity to fly off the handle over anything.

I believe you've touched upon a sensitive subject within this forum. Far different than the ordinary conflict of what equipment is best and/or which artists suck.

I'm not saying hold your tongue. But please, be considerate. If I was looking for racial discussions and or message boards, i'd be surfing blackvoices.com...i come to home recording.com for comraderie and insight concerning just that...HOME RECORDING, and the ins and outs, ups and downs of that and those involved. Can we drop this one. Please.

This is the INTERNET. I have NO IDEA what color MOST of the members of this forum are and DON'T CARE!!! I CARE that we share similar interests and have a place to come TOGETHER, regardless of what we look like. Can we keep it that way?
