I thought the NS-10m's were introducted later and had a slight difference which corrected some sort of cross over issue.

boy am i happy to finally see someone using them upright!!!

its funny that people use them horizontally, what's even more funnz is that yamaha actually printed the lettering on horizontally, suggesting you should use them that way!!

i guess even companies fuck up some times :D

hehe i have the upright ns10's so i coudlnt screw that up!

good price, i paid 400 for mine and they are beat up lookin. these are much cleaner and nicer.

They were all ns10m's. ns10 is just shorthand.

there's a cheap model, like ns10a or somethin. I saw a pair a month or so ago, and I've seen them online, too. They are supposed to be complete crap, too, from what I've heard.

According to the manual that comes with the NS-10m's they are designed to sit horizontally with the tweeters to the outside. That's why the name and model is written that way and you can see one is intended to be the left speaker and the other the right speaker. A lot of people choose to mount them upright and if it works for you go with it :) Definitely "not" a factory screw up. Regards, Dave

Just so you'll know I paid $600 for the pair 2 years ago. Not looking to make anything, just hope to find them a good home, otherwise they'll just sit.

well, NS10a, ns10m, they all blow! thats their design... make your mixes sound extremely crappy thus making you work harder to achieve a better mix.

whatever. nice monitors, i recommend them as like a second pair though. i've been using them as my only monitors since i started recording and they didnt make it fun, thats for sure .
