i'm looking for a decent acoustic guitar that fits in a budget of £200 tops.
i'd appreciate any input from anyone who has experienced the yamaha FG730 or garrison AG400 or suggest any other acoustic guitars that shine for this price range.

thanks in advance

Brunswick BTK 60N. Awesome bit of kit- payed about £140 for mine i think. Has a Shadow P4 Preamp and its damn good. Sounds incredible with mic and DI'd, just get the mix of each right. Plays nicely too, but the action is quite high but your local music shop will sort that for not a lot of money. Knocks the socks off the Jap fender acoustics and i preffered it to a Jasmine (Takamine) that i was going to buy a while back.

Good luck!

Don't know the particular guitars you mention, but you can search the forum here for Yamaha acoustics. There was a thread a while back in which some of us mentioned how much we've liked the low-cost Yamahas. Mine is a 340 from the late 70s, and I've never been able to part with it. In fact, I still use it in the studio sometimes. I haven't played any newer Yamahas, though.
