yamaha aw16g - " error : hdd not ready " ? help

hi,
i just bought a yamaha aw16g multi-track. when i turn it on i get this msg > " error : hdd not ready " . i guess theres a problem with the internal hard-drive. the unit was posted from sydney to perth + the previous owner never had this error msg. im assuming the unit is quite solid + given that it was packaged quite well i thought it would've been quite safe in the post. any ideas ?

Did it come with a tools CD? Mine that I bought new did...if it does, try inserting the disk and see what happens.

Hard drives can be easily damaged if they are dropped from any significant distance. This falls under the category of concealed damage. If I were you, I would contact the carrier and file a shipping damage claim.
