Heh, sounds alright, I hear a few digital cracks...

I'm also from Northern VA, where are you exactly?

if this is really you...

you would have been alot more popular if you kept your mouth from the begining and just posted this tune. Nice singing, man!

This is pretty mono right now, but I'm sure once you get used to your gear, you will shortly be playing with stereo image day and night. Do some punch-ins for those parts you mess up, and check your power source+sequencer for those weird clicks, you should be set then.

I truly hope you're not charging people yet. Those pops and clicks are unacceptable, especially after you told everyone how much equipment your parents bought for you.

NIce tune, singing and playing. You definately have a problem with clicks. You may want to look at all your clock settings.

Nice song. I'm listening in lo-fi (because my computer sucks) So i'm not sure if the following will be 100% right.

The vocal: Nice sound, needs just a bit of hall revurb (not alot just maybe 5 or so in the effect sends.

The guitar: Nice folkesh guitar sound. how did you record it? Next time (if you can) try recording the guitar in stereo. place one mic at the 12th fret and one just below the sound hole.

Good work on this.

The recording sounds pretty good even though it sounds more or less mono. I think a little shaker or a little drumming would help the song a lot. As far as the vocals go, it sounds like lyrics/vocals from bands like Dashboard confessional/New found glory which I'm guessing you are going for. I really like the "la da hooo" at about 3:40. Nice song.

thanx

yah when i recorded that I wasn't at all familiar with all the pro tools plug ins and it wasn't tweaked to my liking.. i had no rackmount hooked up except my voice prism and mic pre amp rackmount... I should've hook up the behringer composer for the clipping what do you think? as I'm getting use to the gear and grasp it I add in another rack mount ... because if i add them all at the same time I'll be all confused and it wont sound that great... also i created an archived back-up of this and I reall like the song should i just put it back through and convert it to stereo? or should I re-record it?

a compressor won't stop those clicks. You really gotta check your setup piece by piece to find out what's causing it.

"Pro Tools Demo"

Haven't read your thread...

Some audible ftzzes and such... Sounds like a very nice acoustic guitar (some $$$ there)...

You could use a Large Diaphragm mic for your vox.... a bit more detail would be nice for this song.

Ah.... a song with swears :D Nice.

This song builds... very nice vocal emotion... just wondering if we've got 1:30 of intro and 3:30 of build... hmmm...

Definitely sounds like the kind of song that begs for fuller instrumentation... especially when you launch into the instrumentals and the "na na hoooo" parts... this song's begging for some collaboration... and a nice funky bass with a counter rhythm to your gtr.

Sounds like the thing's not quite fleshed out in the outro... some "searching" for notes on gtr there...

Nice sketchpad idea.... keep going... you've got some songwriter "moxie" (ooooh... big word ;))
