Well I was disappointed when it finished early so yeah get it done and put it up. Sounding good so far, true to the original

Alright. That was basically a good scratch track. :laughings:
Okay, I'll record it then.

Crap, man. Don't post wav files! Get it compressed to an mp3, and then I can listen to it!

And by the way, I don't know if I can sing the song in it's entirety. My vocal range is very small, and I think I'll be straining to do the end.

Right on. Except for a few points below, generally, everything seems pretty okay. Vocals actually sounded pretty good, and well recorded. They just have some sibilance issues... Just EQ em' down in that range (2-5K'ish)

Drum cymbal sounds are horrible. I'd get rid of em', if you can't find anything better. The snare, toms, kick, and hats sounded pretty good, but man... That cymbal hit is tinny, decays too fast, and sounds brittle. Yeah.. Get rid of that cymbal hit.

Everything else is fairly good! Keep at it! (and I think if you put your mind to it, you will be able to sing the whole thing. ;) )

Yeah, I really hate the cymbal sounds from the Studio Instruments kit. I might just use real audio cymbal samples. I'll try my best to do the whole song :o

Eric,
I avoided this for a while. mainly because I saw XTC a couple of times around the 1st couple or three albums when they toured downunder. LOVED them live & on record.
White Noise is one of the smartest albums I've heard. Clever, wired and well done.
Now, back to your work.
Cymbals aren't that bad - they give a live sense to the recording.
The backing voice, live said peeyou.
Your vocal range is limited, but not as limited as mine. You do a nice job of most of the main vocals and make a fair fist of the bvox.
His Work is very wobbly in the Bvox though!
The rhythm guitar is really good.
It was amusing when they had to put on a special lunch time gig for British Steel workers as a sop to having made fun of them.
The solo could use a little more bit.
All in all I'm glad I listened. You've good taste in covers and made a good fist of the song in the end.

Thanks! I was just copying the album with the ah oo's. The wobblyness might be because I double tracked it. I don't know. That could just be my voice sucking again. :laughings:
About the solo, do you mean more volume, more notes, more feeling? I just recently got into XTC. I don't think they do a song that I don't like.
Great band.

Thanks for listening!
