I have a roland XP30 hooked up via mIDI to my laptop. My midi interface is the sb extigy...
i haven't used the keyboard for about a year now and i took it out of the box and noticed that the pitch bend (left or right) always increases by a semitone. Further, i noticed that its always sending sysex code to my cubase? Anyway, a rubber band and a pitch bend filter solved that trick.. but here is my problem now:
Whenever i record midi notes in cubase, the notes are always about 0.5-1 second behind.. this translates to being a beat or two off when i record!!
I've never come across this problem before. I am on vacation right now and dont have access to any other midi equipment so i dont know if the problem is the extigy or my roland keyboard? What can cause midi delay when recording notes? I checked my sysex in cubase and the only data that is being received is note on adn off and not the erroneous pitch bend info ..
any help would be greatly appreciated!!
