Xenyx 802 recording rap vocals in Logic Pro X

I am primarily recording rap vocals into Logic Pro X and am brand new at this. I have a condencer mic plugged into the xenyx and the xenyx going into the macbook pro via usb. Do I need to change any of the effects nobs on the xenyx 802 to anything specific or should I just do all my sound changes in Logic Pro X? I hope that made sense.
