I refreshed my Plug-ins list on Audition 3.0 and now my UA-25EX is not recognized.

I am hoping that there is someone out there who can maybe lend me a hand?
I have a Cakewalk UA-25EX interface. Usually I use REAPER or Sonar LE - but this time I reverted back to Audition 3.0 as I am doing a project with a buddy who uses it well.

Now here is the issue. I just recorded a bunch of vocal stuff - NO problem. The recording went by flawlessly. A/I did a wonderful job, as it's supposed to. Went to go mix - decided I wanted to use my WAVES plug-ins... Haven't used Audition for a long time so I had to refresh my plug-in list... Now the message I get is "The audio device selected is not available, all in and out ports have been changed in mixer view accordingly. A new device must be selected for output"? or something well along those lines. WHAT THE FUCK? I go to my audio hardware set-up in audition.. the drivers are seen by the program, but will not correlate or function..

anyone have an issue similar to this? I am going to check if my other programs are having this problem right now.
