WTB: Shure Beta 58a

I currently only have a condensor mic and am in need of a dynamic mic for live performances ect. I have been looking at shure mics and I think the beta 58a will be the best for me.

So is there anyone that doesn't really use one anymore And would like to sell it?

The EV ND 767a would be a great microphone for you live. You can find them new for under $100. look here.

I Have the Beta, didn't care for it that much.

Try the EV first, if they sound as good as I've been told they do, it's a no brainer for under a $100.

oh, thanks for that. Normaly i use front end audio because they have fairly cheap prices and the shipping to australia is relatively cheap.

Another good alternative is the Sennheiser 835. I have used the Beta 58 a couple of times and actually like the original SM58 better. But there are many opinions of course. Any of these mics will do well for you on live vocals.

Thanks everyone, I bought the EV ND 767a and now i just have to wait for them to be shipped to me. Now I think I need to buy some monitors so I will start up a new thread for that. I need a cheap pair that perhaps someone isn't using anymore for recording.
