WTB: Rack Case

Looking for about 6 space rack case at a good price.

Good luck dude... you may be able to get a beat up SKB for like 60 bucks (they're not even worth that to begin with)... my suggestion would be to build one yourself. The first case I ever built was a heavy-as-hell 8 space rack that could survive a four story fall. I just built a 6 spacer the other day that is lightwight, sturdy and looks great, all for about 40 bucks and a total of 4 hours work (spread out over a couple days of course).

You'll occasionally see them cheaper. $69 for a 12 space rack case on eBay.

Of course, their shipping and handling charge is several times what it actually costs to ship one, so that one's sort of a rip-off, but still....

As cheap as possible, and nope no consideration too much. Don't plan on traveling anytime soon. Just need something to keep my stuff in going to church and back and a few coffee house gigs, in the future.

I haven't bought from these guys, so take this post for what it is. They seem to be well built. There is a video with audio on that ebay link showing you the construction of the cases, from my eyes and being of several tours, these cases are of very good build. Probably will last you many years, they have larger ones as well, for not much more money. Again I have never touched, seen, or used one, so if someone has first hand knowledge that they suck believe them and ignore my post. Good luck in your search.

Has anyone seen the Tuffbox cases on eBay yet? They are made with 3/8" as compared to the 1/4" on a lot of the cheaper cases.

Also, does the shock mounting really make that much of a difference in protection?? Is it worth the $100+ extra?
