From his description of the upcoming 11-string bass he's waiting for:
F#, B, E, A, D, G, C, F, Bb

The 11-string will have an additional low C# and high Eb

That's a huge neck... I wouldn't consider him a bass player with additional high strings, or a guitar player with additional low strings... just a string player. Yeesh! It'd be a shame if he developed hand problems later on.

Thanks for the tidbit. I can sleep now! :D

Don't wish hand problems on anyone! Look what happened to Malmsteen. He can't even play anymore because of poor habits warming up before going full shred!

Do you really think that his hammering technique could lead to hand problems?

Carl

I got a response from Jean!!!!

It was just like you said as far as the tuning. Here is the emailed response:

hi eddie,

it's tuned from low to high:

F#, B, E, A, D, G, C, F, Bb

You can let those guys know that both the videos were taped through a
shitty digital camera (one that takes pictures) and in no way a proper
recording.

Also, dynamics via tapping isn't too controllable.

Thanks for signing up.

there's some music up at http://www.myspace.com/jeanbaudin and
www.nuclearrabbit.com

thanks again.

I don't mean from the way he plays. Just if anything happened to his hands and couldn't do what he does anymore. His tapping looks okay to me.

There's quite a bit of his playing with the group on the Nuclear Rabbit website.
