Actually, I made a mistake on that. The original had a 4x10 open back cabinet, and a 2x12 ported box. We'll jury rig something here to get the correct impedance and setup, until I can build some proper cabinets with the right speakers.

Followup

This is getting weirder and weirder.

I was just contacted by the guy that apparently owns the two Delta cabinets that went with this head. Not just a pair of the same Delta cabinets, but probably the boxes that were shipped with this head. The head was originally sold in Wisconsin, and the two cabinets were bought from a pawn shop in Wisconsin.

We're gonna be doing some trading for the cabinets, and it looks like I'd better get ready for a 950 mile road trip to retrieve them.

The Delta head is already becoming the big recording favorite in the studio.

Damn, dude, that IS crazy. I can't wait to hear this in action, too!

This is cliff hanger stuff that would make the Bold & the beautiful proud.
C'mon - POST!

The guy with the Delta cabinets called it off, so I guess I'll hafta build some new speaker boxes for the Delta head. He actually trashed me over on the Gearslutz "High End" forum. Guess it wasn't meant to be.

Really! Who is it Harvey? I'll go over there and give him his what for! :spank:

Well that dude turned out to be a dick. Bummer. Cabs look sweet.

What the hell were you thinking of when you designed this beastie? That was so far ahead of it's time you'd have had a hard time selling one to George Jetson.

It was pretty cool. It also had a user defined plug-in preset that would let a player design his own sound (like the new Randall MTS stuff).

I had been begging Acoustic Control to come out with a line of tube amps, but they refused. So, I started Delta Products.

looks like a beast, 300 watts?! that's a hella loud guitar amp. what other amp/amp family would you say that it sounds closest to?

Being ahead of your time appears to be the kiss of death in this world mate.

Eh, I'm over it. I found the thread in question, even the other Gearslutz think the kid is a dildo.
