Would the pre's in the M-audio Octane be better than the Firepod's???

I know these two devices have different purposes. One is just a set of pres with ADAT lightpipe and the firepod is an interface. But I'm at a crossroad of Either getting an M-audio octane and borrowing an interface or buying the firepod. Would the octane pre's be that much better????
