Would built-in wardrobes be detrimental to the construction of a home studio?

Mainly because many houses feature built-in wardrobes, and I'm concerned that they may compromise my ability to properly treat the room.

Basically every room is a compromise in properly treating of acoustics. You are just limited by what any given space allows you.

So you treat it the best you can with the space you have.

We call them 'closets' in the USA. As Jimmy says, every room is a compromise. Treating the corners and points-of-first-reflection are crucial, as well as trying to maintain symmetry in the room.
