I didn't submit it because I didn't want to confuse the judges. Well that and I had about million other things going on.

I thought Mindset & TragikRemix were going to judge this... Do you guys need more time?

thats too bad....:( i was intrested to hear your take on it.

I'm good to go. I going with my last entry.
Did one with dryer claps but I like a little verb on them.

Just cause you asked so nicely... :D

Nice! Has a smooth sound to it ;) Cool. Did hear a glitch in the beat at the begining could have been the stream?

I like how you did the the begining.

i made a slight revision to my mix a couple weeks ago, but LightningMP3 wasn't working at the time. probably too late to throw it in the contest now huh....haha

Yep it happened during mixdown and at the time I was just getting a ruff mix. I hardly did any editing or anything. I can still hear mics getting knocked around and everything.

I'm thinking of extending this at least till we get some judges... what do you guys think?

What happened to the judges you had? I thought you had Mindset & Tragic Remix or something like that? Maybe a PM might awaken them;)

that mix was pretty nice for no editing or tooling around!

here's my final revision, i didn't road test it, but the changes are pretty minor overall...so it should translate OK. anyway here it is:

Very nice!

I did a couple minor tweeked versions after my last one but I don't trust them.
I treated my control room must have over done it. I can move a kick drum by 5 db at 80hz and barley tell. It never gets out of shape on me :( Should have read up more before doing it. I think I shot from the hip and hit my foot  Maybe I've just been mixing in an untreated room for too long.
Frustrated to hell at the moment.

thanks FS! one trick that i did for this song that i think came out kinda cool was putting a delay plug on the hi-hat track. i set it to model a lo-quality Analog delay and it created a pretty sweet kinda "ghost" hi-hat effect, and sometimes even made sort of a phaser effect in certain parts when the wet and dry parts overlapped.

it was kind of a hair-brained scheme that i wanted to try and i think it worked out nicely for this particular song. anyway thanks again, i'm pretty happy with how it came out. :o

I knew I heard a delay in there.

I'm not telling my new trick until submissions are closed ;) :D

I love these contests just for that. Different music lets you try new tricks.
I honestly think I have an easier time mixing other peoples music too.
Mybe it's because they are better at recording than me :D I can garentee the have a better room than me :( I think there is more of a sense of freedom and I get to play producer. That's why I never check out others mixes untill I am done.

Are the original volentiers listening out there?? Where'd you go?
