actually, upon reading this whole thread (which i found mostly to be a waste of time), i think the majority of you critical boneheads need to get a clue. while i agree that there is always a bit of luck involved with any success, there is also an immense amount of work involved. it's easy to sit back and rail on drummers from the comfort of your computer keyboards. meanwhile these professionals are busting their fk'in asses on tour, in the studio, and on all the other aspects of being successful in music and life. all these stupid insulting comments only prove that you have no idea what it's all about.
it's so easy to take shots at successful musicians... but i wonder how many of you will ever have even a modicum of the success or impact on the history of music that any of these people you are talking about have already had? spend less time on this board slagging on people and more time enjoying and creating music, and maybe you'll create something worthwhile. in my experience, those with the biggest mouths, usually have the least to back it up with... and it's just sour grapes.
sorry, i just couldn't let it go, and had to speak up for those folks who aren't here to defend themselves.
