They made an announcement in the stadium, in german, for the german fans to stay seated and they will be escorted out by security. Looks like the real Germany v Brazil game is about to start!!!

You should stop now and read a book about Blitzkrieg and take note of the dates. Also BTW, Germany haven't been a football powerhouse since the 80's even we beat them 5-1 back then. Other than that your posts in the last hour or so have been right on the money...;)

Point was, the Blitzkrieg to the West was later than 1939 (quote was, "the last time ..."). The invasion of France started in May, 1940, which was later. I still think that was a whoopin'. Hence, 1940 being later. :)

OK, I am finished making much ado about nothing.

Even at Chelsea he's never had the positional discipline to be a top player - the only centre half in football to think he can play in a free role!?

Was this an upset? A fully stocked German team against a lackluster Brazilian team missing a few key guys that was lucky to even be there? I don't know what the betting line was on this game, and I'm not a gambling man, but I would have easily put money on germany.

So how exactly was this an upset? Was Brazil favored to win?
