I'm a novice at any sort of recording, with very simple folksinger's needs, and I've just purchased a PocketStudio 5, with the understanding--affirmed by the salesperson--that I could record with two inputs simultaneously, i.e. guitar and voice, onto two separate tracks. The manual--which doesn't even have an index--makes no mention of this most rudimentary of functions, and no amount of manipulation has so far yielded a result. Any advice? If you can send it to me direct I'm at kennedyd9@cs.com.

Thanks,

David

I could be wrong but I recently researched several low end recorders and I recall that unit only recording one track at a time. Thats why I ruled it out. Why dont you go test his knowledge and ask him to show you how to record two tracks at a time, and if he can't, DEMAND your money back.

Hello David,
you can record two tracks simultaneously. For example voice to Input-A and guitar to Input-B.
First you have to make the routing to direct Input-A to Track-1 and Input-B to Track-2.
For that press and hold Input-A ,Input-B and then press Rec-Ready 1 or 2 to record to track 1-2 or press 3 or 4 to record to track 3-4. Rec Ready 1-2 or 3-4 should blink now.
After releasing Input-A and B the blinking stops.
Now you have to arm the tracks. For that press Track-1 and Track-2 simultaneous. Rec Ready 1-2 should blink now but not so fast then before.
Now your recorder is ready to record, to start press rec - play.

I hope this was helpful for you.

Bye

Tom
