So I have been using reason lately to program drum sounds, mostly ethnic percussion and hand drums to complement the drum kit. I have a few drum parts written that I want to sound, in a sense, tribal. I want it to sound as if a dozen people are each playing the same rhythm. I haven't yet figured out how to do this. I tried adding a chorus, but that sounds a bit cheesy and manufactured. Dubbing the same part over itself a dozen times just makes the drums louder. I was thinking I could start with the base track and copy it 12 times, and then make each indiviual drum a bit different from its counterpart by tweaking the pitch or tone, and then dubbing them over one another. Here is a short clip of the tune with the reason drums:

I basically want them to sound thicker. Any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance!

you could record it as audio, duplicate the audio track, and slide the wave form to a slight offset.

I'm not familar with reason...maybe you can duplicate it several times and quantize each one differently.
