gonzo, killer as always! You should put a band together and play some local venues or something. I would come out and see you play. Is that pic of the guitar on you site the guitar you are using? You still use Mesa stuff?

mrhotapples-thanks for listening, glad you liked it.

you don't think it was too mellow do you?
;)

Telefunken

thanks for the review!
yeah, that cream strat, is my new one i built last summer.... i didn't use it on this recording, tho, it was my trusty old Carvin DC200K (1984) thru the mesa..
and yes, the mesa, my vintage Mark2B....

as a matter of fact, just took it to an authorized repairman today, to give it it's once-every-26-years tune up.

that boogie is really sweet..... that's why i've held onto it all these years...

but, that boogie shows every wart in my playing..
it's tough, cuz you have to execute things clearly, or it sticks out like a sore thumb...

i hope the boogie makes it thru the check-up!

it's never been in a shop, in 26 years.......

Hey man this sounds great. The only thing I can say bad is that I'm not nuts about the tamberine sound and level and drums sound a little far back but its simply personal preference. Overall it sounds great!

Nice job man.

slowjet-
thanks for reviewing this..

yeah, i probably could have made the drums a bit hotter, and the tambourine, i tried to make more 'ambient' but damn that thing just sticks out, doesn't it!

i'd been listening to a lot of classic mixes, that had the tambourine WAY hotter than i mixed it, like it was the loudest thing in the mix.

maybe, they had different reasons for mixing elements like that so hot back then (i'm talking the days of vinyl)

what i really should do, is automate that mix, and bring it up and back in certain spots, instead of just letting it sit at one level throughout...

i tried riding the faders a bit....

Heh this thing blew my headphones off. Great sounds and mix. Your drummer is no slouch either. Love it!

thanks bulls hit...

yea, that drummer got the vibe just right!!
i couldn't have asked for a better performance...
but i probably could have mixed him better!
