Sounds really cool Gunnar....vocals sound more like the focus now...nice job there. I think the voice is great.....really makes it cool. Music is mixed well, and it seems very cohesive. Nice job man....

Thanks Ed!

Thanks Gorty!

Here is the final version. Tweaked a couple things to help balance the stereo field, and brought the BV's up a bit. Timed the tom intro to the guitar as well.

Oh, never mind, the updated one works!

Cool, gritty tune! Minor timing issues in the intro, but it settles down quickly..

First thing I noticed is I like the backup vox, but a 2nd (and possibly a 3rd) harmonic line in the oooohs and aaaahhs might sweeten it even more... Next thing I noticed is that the singer kicks holy ass.

The next thing I noticed is a rock-solid nature of the grove. Sublime.

This has a wicked cool retro 70's thing going on. People meant it back then, ya know? Very enjoyable listen...

Thanks Llarion!

They decided to add some more BV, so I'll make your suggestions to the band. :)

Sup bro.

The hats are too loud and piercing.
And the overheads (crashes) seem too queit.
The drums themselves sound fine but that tom fill in the intro is WAAAY fake sounding.

The vox could use less 3-4khz and more 60-80hz body......perhaps try a waves C4 multiband or something of the like to pull the bass of her voice up?

The rest is money and sounds top to me bro.

BE WELL!

Nice. Good sound, good tune.

Yeah, that stuck out for me, its not quite lined up.

The tune has a retro feel, I like the gritty voice. The song reminds me of an ido57 song. Very good stuff, love the background vox. :)

Hmmmm. I don't really hear that, although the cymbals are a tad on the harsh side. There is just two OH's and no HH mic, so the levels are what they are, unless I go and manually adjust the crashes, or automate - not sure that's necessary though.

Yep, totally fake - gonna try and make it sound a bit more realistic, although the original kinda sounds that way too. The tom hits were out of time, so I just took the OH's out during the into and pasted some hits in time with keys - and they are still out of time. I have since made them better, and they WILL be in time in the final version.

I was already thinking this, as I listened to it in my truck today. I thought I had the eq cranked at 110hz, but it wasn't, so I boosted the lows at 80hz, and took a bit off the 4.8 boost (although that was VERY little to begin with). There was actually almost no eq on the vocal at all. I think that was enough to add some weight to her voice.

Cool song and performance. I think the main vocal needs a little more in the lower mids and less upper mids. The lead gtr at :06 and during the first phrase is a bit out of tune, not so later. I'd prefer the lead gtr with a less nasal tone. I love the the tone of the backing vocals and rhythm gtr. Drums are great... very expressive in timing and dynamics.
