I just moved into a new home where the recording area (garage) is very close but not connected to my office, where my DAW will live. I was wondering if it is worth considering going wireless for recording. I don't want to use wireless mics, rather my existing condensors and dynamics, but going through a wireless system from the garage to the office. Is wireless going to suck and I should just bite the bullet, tear out a bunch of drywall and put in some wiring or is it worthy of consideration or even very feasible?

Any wireless worth recording is gonna cost more per channel than wiring, I would say, if you are looking for good sounding recordings. Wireless signals go through tons of processing, and good ones ain't cheap. Think $2000 per channel.

Just buy a 50' (or whatever length you need) snake. Get one with a 16 in/4 out (or 24 or whatever you need). That way you only need a small hole to feed everything through and don't need to go ripping out drywall.

Don't run the lawnmower over the cable, though.
