I'm thinking of upgrading my Vista system to Windows 7. I'm also interested in getting a E-mu 0404 to replace my non functional tascam us-122. I'm going to be using repear and steven slate drums. Your thoughts?

The only reason I'm a little skeptical is because of this site http://www.rainrecording.com/windows-watch/. It indicates the e-mu 0404 is not compatible with windows 7. Furthermore, I checked their website and there is even a readme explaining that the 0404 is unsupported with vista (i assume that means windows 7 as well). However, they did release a vista (I assume 7 as well) beta driver. I've read a lot of forums and people who have had problems but also a lot of people who have got it work flawlessly. I guess I could always return it if it doesnt work. My main question is if it works on Vista how probable is it that it will work on Windows 7?

Just as Windows XP is built on Windows 2000, Windows 7 is built on Vista.
