I Have Jus A Regular $40 Mic......a 2ch. Ps-525 Pro Gemini Mixer......a Sound Blaster Extigy External Sound Card.....& Cool Edit Pro 2.0....
Didnt Want 2 Spend Much $$$$$ .....

Should That Give Me Cd Quality Recording????

Wat Should I Change Or Is The A Good Basic "studio"???

It won't get you CD quality, but learn how to use the stuff you have.

chiko man - dont despair. cool edit pro has a number of nice features like
noise reduction and the filtering. it isnt gonna be perfect like a top studio preamp maybe , but there are workarounds . make sure you do a little bit of noise reduction if your recorded tracks are a rad noisy and maybe do some filtering workarounds on the tracks using cool edit.
you might want to demo in the future a nice condensor mic thru a yamaha
mg mixer into something like a delta sound card card and hear for yourself if you hear a huge difference with what you have now.
i would demo first before you plonk down hard cash.
a high end signal chain as one of many million examples would be
a beyer high end mic thru a hardy preamp into something like a lynx sound card. but - much dollars.

I agree with the above posters, BUT, what you have is good to learn the HOW of recording (tracking, editing etc). Play with what you've got and see how to get the best sound out of it you can, so when you have cash for better stuff, you can sound even better.

Remember: a good song recorded on bad gear always sounds better than a bad song recorded with good gear.
