Will The Tascam Forum Ever Be Up Again

That seems to be the sixty-four thousand dollar question...
I thought they would have at least updated the "Out of service" notice by now, but it's not like I'm paying for the bbs, so no room to bitch for me.

As far as if it matters... Personally I'd like to see it back up as I found it to be very useful. (Same with this site)

:)

If they have no intention of reinstating it, they should say so, instead of promising great things to come.

I think all of TASCAM's great things to come have come and gone a long time ago.

At this point, the forum being down this long is only an other sign of how out of touch they have become with their clients.

They have been down since the day before A Reel Person's birthday.

I sent him him a birthday greeting over at tascam's bbs and 5 minutes latter, the site shut down.

It's all ARP's fault!!

just kidding' arp!;)

Over a month then.

What on earth could be taking them over a month!?

It was the PS-05.

They over hyped, delivered a buggy product, and then insulted users looking for OS repairs.

I saved a post from the original moderator of that forum where he actually said he was glad that some owners felt screwed because they were too stupid to read the fine print in the marketing blurb. (It took them about 90 seconds to delete that post!)

Things just degenerated to the point where they had some idiot cruise these forums and report back on any trouble users of other manufacturers products were having. I'm kind of amazed it took them this long to shut the whole thing down.

I go over to the Tascam forum about once a day. Their server is still slower than ever. I e-mailed them about the status of the forums about 2 weeks ago and have had no reply.

I don't know what "good things are in store", but if this is a taste of it, I'm going to be loyal to another brand soon.

The only promising fact is that the price of 788s is destined to drop.
