Will ProTools run on Windows 8?

I just got a laptop for Christmas...it runs Windows 8

Who is making recording software for this system?
(I didnt see a lot out there)
As far as I can tell ProTools is available for Windows7

PT11 is supported on windows 8, but not 8.1.

Seems reasonable to assume they're working on it, if 8 is supported.

I guess I better make sure what version I really have...Windows 8 doesnt thrill me but I can't look a gift horse in the mouth either...

Havn't upgraded to 11 yet, but 10 is working fine on windows 8.

thanks for asking this, I too now have a computer using Windows 8, but I am used to ProTools LE7 which I realize puts me in the dark ages, but since I only use it for voiceover work, I haven't had the need to mix music etc. Problem, there doesn't seem to be any upgrade options for PT7, and I'm wondering if there is anything I can do, short of purchasing an entire new PT system like 11 or something. Any advice is much appreciated!

It almost certainly won't be supported, but if you're just using it for voiceover I'd be inclined to try it out and see what happens.
