Will my dynamic mic be better with an audio interface or pre amp . My mic costs me 70$. Or should i go with the audio technica at2020 usb condenser mic.
The dynamic mic i have is an xlr mic. The cable has one xlr point and the other is a 1/4" point. The XLR goes in the mic and the 1/4" in the pre amp. But due to budget problems i couldn't get a pre amp so i got an adapter. I get a lot of hiss/ bakcground noise and low sound recording.

Now after saving 100-150$ i wanted to ask what should i buy? pre amp or audio interface or mixer or usb condenser mic..

I want sound quality somewhat like this guys recordings " Payphone - Maroon 5 ft. Wiz Khalifa - Official Music Video Cover - Tyler Ward & Katy McAllister - YouTube " he uses a shure SM-58

I will use it for rap vocals and i only require one mic and not more than that. " I want it for youtube though "

THis is what i get at present with my low costing equipment " Lil Wayne - Mirror ft. Bruno Mars (SuperBoy Cover) - YouTube " the rap part is mine!! i certainly want better than this as u can see a little bit noise in the background after the effects.

Please help me as i want to spend my money wisely..

I would definitely say that an interface with phantom power would be the best first purchase. Then you won't be limited. Not one single mic gives the best results for any instrument, or any voice. Even different mics can work better for the same instrument or voice in different songs. Limiting yourself to just one mic (USB) seems a bad investment IMO.
