Why wont Cubase read midi files??

I bouht "session drummer" about a year ago, and bought Cubase 32/5, i want to import the :session drummer" into Cubase, is this possible?

i copied and pasted it to the "drum files" in Cubas but it wont open up the midi files..

Anyone know how i can get Cubase to open up the session drummers midi files?

in the File Menu, choose "Import - Midi File" Choose merge if you want to import it to the open session and no if you want to open it as a scratch midi file.

I did that, i set the track to read midi "the note symbol"

I go to import/midi, and then it gives me my browse box, i find the folder and see the midi files but when i click on the midi file i want nothing happens and the browse box dissappears, but the midi file doesnt shown in the panel..

Anything else i can try?

that's not quite how it works. Sinply open up a totally new session and import the file. Don't do anything else. You can rearrange the tracks afterwards.
If nothing happens then it might be a compability issue (there are 2 types of midi files, but i think cubase can read both) or your midi file is empty.

One thing ive always liked about Session drummer was the program, im not sure if its a Cakewalk program or the Session Drummer program, Since ive swirched over to Cubase from Cakewalk I'd like to bring over the Session Drummer too.

The program in Session Drummer from Cakewalk is very helpful in setting up the beats you want and to be able to change the measures etc.

Do you know if that program is able to transfer over to Cubase?

yup.. all you have to do is to install the session dummer in your cubase vst directory i believe. It's a cakewalk directx instrument so it'll work like any other directx instrument in cubase
You can also point your alternative vst path to the place you store the session drummer
