WTF are you talking about.

Its your self proclaimed elitist status, that's bullshit.

What was wrong with what he said.
If you stopped your pouting for five seconds and actually read this thread, you'd know the answer to your question was already given in detail.

Jesus, we all get called to the carpet on occasion. Pick yourself up, brush yourself off, learn from it, and move on. Get over it already.

my measly pair of maudio monitors taught me a lot about what to listen to in certain speakers. sure, it took a year, but i can definitely hear all those crazy terms like "honk" and "bright" now.

yeah me too, i tried a few different sets of monitors and they all sounded different. I didn't notice a huge, huge difference but it was noticeable.
And BTW some "bookshelfs" were just as good in my opinion, and better built than some PRO STUDIO MONTIORS for $200.
All were in the $300ish range.

I spent 8months trying to decide. It got too deep..WHAT THE SHELLAC IS 10MICRONS THICK INSTEAD OF 11MICRONS!!!! OH NO!!!
Then in the end I bought the ones that were recommended the first week by several others  .

finally i said "(*& this shopping shit" and studying the turd...
and, whatever...blah,blah,blah,blah,blah..doowop doo wop doo wop...

I also bought an RTA and then found out the $5000 ones are better than the $10 ones. But still I used it to setup my sub, to where I can't hardly hear it, but I can see it on the graph which is the way its supposed to be is my understanding.

I don't use outboard EQ's only the EQ switches on the back of my Active "STUDIO" monitors.

Someday I hope to actually record again.
