Thanks for listening cakewalk. Actually that sharp bend was on purpose. It's a signature Albert King bend, that he did on many of his intros and lead rides. I know it's a BB King song, but I was kind of tipping my hat to Albert with that stinging bridge pickup humbucker tone and sharp bent note in the intro.

Thanks again for listening and commenting

Nice mix. That's pretty damn good, Mr. Stone.

It just so happens that I play a a bit of blues piano. Too bad MS isn't 'just down the block'. It ain't.

Mebbe we'll figger sumpthin' out one day. I'd like to hear more of your schtuff.

After all, you got your MOJO workin', and I'm a Mojo Worker. Small world.

I think it sounds great reminds me of my nights over on the east side. Keep it up:listeningmusic:

Thanks Rusty.
It reminds me of some 4th sets on gigs I have done. I used to do this late and I would ad lib a couple of verses that pertained to somebody there or something that had taken place earlier in the night.
"Well, the old man in the corner want to play on my guitar,
I wanted to step outside and burn one but he held me up inside the bar....everybody wants to know...why I sing the blues...well I don't have a buzz now...and gonna play once more for you."
Lol...it's a fun song man

I would really love to have a blues piano player to record with. I had a real good friend who was great on the piano (and could absolutely smoke me in guitar) but, sadly he committed suicide.
Thanks for the listen and comments and I hope to hear some of your music soon.

Everything sounds performed really nicely, but something sounds small about. No room sound, or sumpin'. Maybe it's deliberately understated.
Is that you on vocal and guitar, jimi? The vocal is the best thing going here.

Thanks for giving me a listen beez. Yeah, that's me on vocal and guitars. It may be too understated. I tried to get an old school vibe with this mix. I mixed it pretty dry...I have a tendency to use too much reverb and I backed off on this. To my ears it was sounding pretty good. This song is pretty much all about the vocal...at least that was the way the original was mixed.
Appreciate the kind words and it good to see you checking out some tunes in the clinic.
I hope you put something up to review..I like your tunes man.
:)

Thanks spock13 and welcome to the site.
I appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment.

Vocal is just stellar. Very faithful, believably delivered. Timing is a mess, but close enough for jazz. :)
