It's a VSTi that's pretty much the best piano sound I've ever heard in my life. I have a grand piano in my livingroom, but since I'm not a world-class engineer with a 10,000 dollar mic collection, I think Truepiano's is pretty much the next best thing. In my opinion it sounds waaaay better than Akoustik (which I never liked too much to begin with) and it's half the price.

Has anyone heard Truepiano's before? Tell me what you think of it.

Best piano sound for what?

I am not being sarcastic. I've played a piano that to me seemed best for playing Bach. I've played some pianos that worked well with bombastic romantic stuff. Some of them might work better for rock but not for Beethoven.

So, again... I ask: Best piano sound for what? And in what kind of "acoustic" environment?

Never heard of Truepianos, who makes it? Is it sample based or generative? How many disks? How many gigs? Polyphony?

Use Whatever Works.

If it fits in your song in your ears, fine. (Just don't say it the end-all-be-all... not everyone agrees with your ears on every song.)

Glad you found something that works for you.
