I don't completely understand your question but, if I was to take a stab at it, I might say that because all of my recordings and production work is done in the analog realm, that might excuse my curiosity!
Good. That is the same reason I pushed the button. Because I gave digital recording a try, and gave it up to buy an analog reel to reel 8 track. Then I wanted to see if anyone else felt the same way I did about analog and see what I could learn.
I must be disqualified then because I never went to digital and then back to analog.
I always dreamed of having a 16 track reel to reel and a big board to mix on and I saved my shekels for years to get it.
Now that I do have it and am happy with the results I get, why would I want to tempt fate, dump all my expensive goodies and go mix with a mouse and a bunch of drop down menus to turn up the treble on a guitar?
