I converted MP3's into .wav and burned them in a HP cd 7200. They play fine in some $10.00 target radio, and at home, but take forever in the car. The guy at alpine tells me tough, it's not designed to read burned cd's, no car player is. Anything I can do?

The guy at Alpine must have started his career at Radio Shack . . . he's a dope!

How old is your car's CD player. Most new models of CD( 1996+ )audio equipment play CDRs fine. I'm not sure what you meant by
"take forever". From what I've experienced, either they recognize the CDR or don't.

My Fisher mid '80's CD player plays all CD-Rs I've come across just fine. Go figure.

My stock stereo in my 98 4X4 Ford Ranger not only plays CDR's, but it also plays re-writable discs, too!

Make sure you are closing the session on the disc when you burn the CD - some CD units don't like reading CD's that still have the session open

Yes do make sure that you close the session I
found that out the hard way along with losing hair
