First of all, apologies for the cross-post...
Now,
Here's what I'm running :
P4 1.6gHz 512mb RAM
1x 40GB HD
Delta 44 Sound Card
Windows XP Home
Right now, I have 4 tracks recorded (2xdrum,1xBass,1xGuitar). When I go to record another guitar or vocal track. I get some popping and skipping and the "LAG" warning flashes in the timer box.
I have tried many different combinations in n-Track, including ASIO drivers, WDM drivers, etc. I keep trying to go in and turn the 'Keep Audio Devices Open' option off, but it will not stay off.
I am recording at 24-bit/96,000 Hz). I have buffering set to 'High Buffering'. I am not even running any plugins on any of the tracks. Is this normal to experience lag and performance like this?
Any ideas?
