I originally intended this to be in a Texas bluesy SRV style, but don't know what it is now. I did mega tracks trying to get interesting sounds and stuff, if you listen please leave at least a brief comment... Thanks!

Very well done! Great performance, and great work mixing.

I don't really have anything to complain about.
 
Cool take on a classic... Really nice guitar sounds dialed in here. The middle break was excellent.... Nice mix overall....It's all good....

Now we know what you've been doing during those freekin' snowstorms in Calgary.....

Sweet! You nailed the SRV guitar tones pretty well. Just a fun tune to listen to... nothing sounds off to me... this ones a keeper ;) :cool:

Different! I like the tone and to me the guitar is definitely SRV style. Nice work, very creative in the bluesy type feel generated in this rock cover! :)

You know how brutal the people here can be when it comes to critiquing..
And to get no negatives/suggestions at all so far.. obviously you did a heck of a job. :cool:
 
Well thanks for the encouragement everyone! I really think my vocal on this is the weak point - but I'm in currently trying to get a really talented singer I know to redo it!

I'll post a new version if I get the new vocal..
 
Saaweet!! I love what you have done with this....really cool take on this classic.....agree with the SRV comparisons...but the solo is a bit more modern sounding ...weird middle breakdown is great also....

Sounds good to me. The 2 rhythem guitar tracks are pretty far apart sounding. Which seems to sound good for this here. Good use of panning and such throughout the song.
 
very cool man. the whole thing definitely has the SRV feel to it, right down to the drums.
 
I wouldn't know what an SRV was if it jumped up and punched me in the nose. But, I like the mix. The levels and good. No, it doesn't suck!

Dude, thats fucking awesome. No nits whatsoever. The divebomb-break at 1:55 is fantastic. IMO it's easily one of the best pieces I've ever heard in this section. Great great job. :)
