Who was that crazy slide gtr player??

Does anyone remember this guy? I am not sure if he is still around, but I heard his stuff once, and it below my mind! Can anyone remember who his name was and how to find him?

JR#97 did some acoustic slide work that was pretty damned cool. Are you talking about acoustic or electric?

I checked out JR's tunes, but didn't hear any slide playing..I think he was an electric guitar player, not sure tho.

I remember that guy being quite new to recording, but people were already anticipating collaboration with him already, if this helps.

Here's my one meager attempt at slide:
mediterranean slide

crawdad and philboydstudge come to mind you're talking slide. Firebird64 is a slide player, but I've never heard his stuff.

Oh I thought you meant a nationally known guy. The guys I was thinking of was in the movie Roadhouse...
