Geez, if anybody should moderate this joint it should be me. I've got the experience. Anybody else here moderate two OTHER audio BBS's?

I've bitchslapped Sonusman from one end of the Internet to the other.

Yeah, but RP only counts for 1/3 of a forum :p

I would like to be a mod. as a mod i would refuse to answer any questions about solutions to problems. instead of adding features to this site, i would simply direct people to the audiofanzine site instead where they have all kinds of cool things that will not be installed here. i would use this place as a source for new members for the audiofanzine site and when this place became a ghost town i would simply stop paying for the servers that maintain it and let it die it's final death.

There was enough drama at RP for awhile to fill two sites. Don't give me that 1/3 forum crap.

Modding at A&A is way easier than at RP (mostly because I have almost total control and can do whatever I want as long as ez doesn't get mad.) I actually have done quite a few things at A&A in the background to keep it moving smoothly.
 
So can any of these new mods tell us when sigs will be coming back? Or are the rest of us ignorant minions not to be trusted to upset the delicate balance that is HR. I mean it's not like a decent solution to the issue hasn't been presented.

The way things have been going round here I'm just about ready to bail on the place which is a shame because I like just about all of you guys.

Today, I heard from France that sigs for everyone will be returning soon. I don't know when nor what is holding them up. I think the holidays have slowed their plans a little.

I haven't heard anything, but I have sigs switched off so I won't notice when they are back on . . . :o

Well mate as far as I'm concerned they need to be switched on for those that want them. I have only ever used used them to point to information that I am sick of repeating in the guitar and bass forum. The sort basic theory stuff you refer to in your stock in trade. I've never used sigs for commercial purposes and never would, I don't need the work. I did used to enjoy links to other members sites, music and links. Those days are gone.

The solution is so bloody easy I can't understand why it's taking so long. As I said though I'm rapidly losing interest in this place because the flow of information has stopped to a crawl recently.

Which one of you new mods is the guitar and bass expert by the way? Apparently there are eight of you now.:eek:;):D

Well, if you start a thread on Guitar with that info I can make it a stickie . . . :o

And hey, I spent all day working on my Airscreamer. I mounted amber LEDs in its side marker lights that will act like a "meter" on the guitar. Except all four of them flash together . . . :cool: I also wired up some new clear bobbin pickups in my favored balanced configuration, and, best of all, added a feature every guitar should have: a toggle switch that engages an onboard transformer, which converts the output to mic level. Built-in DI, how cool is that?

Of course, I could use one of the FETs in the meter section for an active DI, but I like transformers better :D

Pics in a couple of days or so :)

Yeh, but what colour is it? All my mics have to be black. Black is best.;)
