WHO SAYS THE VS RECORDERS ARE BAD?

I don't care WHO started it; if I have to pull this car over, everyone is gettin' an ass whoopin.

Man, what happened to Musicmanx?? I know I checked out his song when he posted under his previous name and wrote him back saying how I liked his song and what was his equipment setup. But I did critique his mix (in a nice way, too, I thought) and never heard back from him. I guess the only way to get a response from this guy is to stroke his ego or make him think your prick. Man, too bad he isn't in the mood to learn from others' thoughts. As soon as I can get my music posted (my computer isn't good enough) I hope to have folks here listen to it and give me some pointers to help my songs. It may sting to have the song criticised, but hey, the technique tips are free and they might help me get a killer mix ready for mastering. What more can you ask for without having to sell your soul to the record industry.

Peace, Jim

I have another suggestion. Listen to
"Crimson Glory's" last CD "Astrinomica".
The whole thing was recorded useing the VS-880. Never mind the genre of music or any of that. Just listen to the end result.
It's all in how you use it. Almost any digital recorder will sound great if you tweak and finess it enough.

Hi guys and gals, new to this posting so be easy with me. I have a VS-1680 and just wanted to say it kicks ass! Some like analog others digital, but what it all really boils down to is this, if you have the ears you will have the mix! I'm running a nice little studio using the 1680 and have yet to disapoint any clients, the quality holds it's own for the cash spent. Using large diaphram mics headroom is cool, internal processors are decent, but then again nothing chunks like a Marshall, large diaphram mic, and compression! I have had no problems with my unit, and I certainly don't miss the hiss from the analog. C-YA...

"have yet to disapoint any clients"
"have yet to disapoint any clients"

That's exactly what I wanted to say using my VS880EX.

"have yet to disapoint any clients"
"have yet to disapoint any clients"

I took a while to get used working with this "High Teck" machine, but it has the best audible response I have ever heard, and that gets confirmed with my clients.
Ten (10) minutes after the session I can give them a ruff Mix burned on CD. It's just a great machine. It never stops. Not one crash after a whole year.
All that is possible without using any outboard equipment, apart for some good amplified speakers, a CD recorder/player, and a few AKG microphones.
Kisses to all.....
