...apart from the fairly blatant abuse of pitch correction.

I mean, I don't deny using Melodyne, but unless you're using it as an effect you really need to make sure the note transitions sound natural.

If I understand correctly (please excuse me if I don't) this isn't your work, in which case I won't feel that so guilty saying that its nothing incredible.
The song isn't bad and the animation is good, but in my opinion there are equally well 'home-recorded' tracks floating round in the MP3 clinic.

I'm pretty sure he used it because he liked the weird sound it gave the song. Not sure though, just found out about this and thought id share.
 
This IS amazing. Amazing that more people listening to this music don't stab themselves or people around them.
 
Just watched it... Don't get it... what's so amazing about it? I was reading how people were gushing in there comments for that video.

I am sad now. People have really low standards :(

How many of you have even made decent music and not been some washed up 50 yr old musicians that do not do anything with recording besides sit in your little basement studio and record things that have never, will never, be seen by anyone decent. Roughhh man
 
Dude, stop being all butthurt. You thought it was really impressive, and that's cool. My first mixes sounded kickass. Looking back on them (and this is less than two years ago)....what the hell was I thinking?
 
This was not me. This was just a guy I heard of and thought was a cool dude when i talked to him.

Some of the best sounding stuff I get in here is "home brew." Also some of the worst.

home studios can also vary between a guy with an mbox and a laptop and a guy with a $50,000 setup
 
its too simple to fail too badly.

but still not that great

and the vocals, quality wise, suffer HORRIBLY.
