Who has a Neumann U87 ?

Here are the pics you needed. I got these off ebay, but if you need up close pics, I'll take them later today. I wouldn't try to fix the mic yourself though unless you got some really good skillz.

Well I don't have an U87 but I have a U77 which is a 'T' powered version FET multipattern that was made in 1967 about the time when the U87 was first released.

If you are interested in purchasing a U87 look for a pre 'AI' version. Much nicer mic IMO. ;)

U67 here.

now let's see if there are some "home-reccers" with even lower model numbers, namely:
- UM57
- U47
 
just in case you were wondering - the U67 definitely smokes my friend's U87 on vocals.

yes, it is very expensive but still worth it IMHO.
also, you can be sure its value is not going to drop anytime soon.
